We care for patients of all ages, whether you need regular foot care, help with a specific concern or a diabetic foot assessment.
A thorough foot health appointment tailored to your needs. We can trim and file nails, reduce thickened nails, remove corns and callus, and care for hard skin or cracked heels. We can also assess concerns such as athlete’s foot. If you have foot pain, we can assess it, offer advice and refer you to the right clinician or service when further investigation or treatment is needed.
We assess the nail and discuss all suitable treatment options with you. Care may include reducing and thinning the affected nail, guidance on antifungal treatment and, where appropriate, chemical nail avulsion. Medication may be needed in some cases; if appropriate, we can refer you to your GP to discuss this. Some patients go home with an antifungal starter pack and clear instructions for treatment at home.
We assess the painful nail edge and offer conservative treatment where suitable. This can include trimming and removing the offending nail spike to relieve pressure, then dressing the toe if needed. We explain how to care for it at home and can refer you for nail surgery if a more lasting procedure may be required.
We assess the verruca and offer targeted acid treatments, including Verrutop, an advanced professional nitric-zinc complex treatment. We have seen excellent results with Verrutop in our clinic. Some verrucas need a course of treatment, and individual results vary.
We reduce thickened, overgrown, psoriatic or damaged nails as much as is safely possible, then apply medical-grade resin to create a natural-looking nail. The treatment is painless and involves no surgery. Nail reconstruction is an aesthetic treatment; it does not cure the underlying nail condition. We’ll assess whether it is suitable for you.
Onyfix is a non-invasive treatment for curved or ingrown toenails. We apply a small band of hardening composite across the nail, which holds its shape as the nail grows forward. Over time, this can encourage a flatter nail shape and ease pressure at the sides. We will assess whether it is suitable for your nail and explain the follow-up plan.
More than a routine foot check: we assess sensation, motor and autonomic function, and circulation, using Doppler to assess blood flow. You receive a report to take to your GP.
